Compounding/Processing equipment

• Haake Polylab /Rheomix batch mixer
• Coperion ZSK18 co-rotating twin-screw extruder (L/D=40/1), with pelletizer
• Nissey 20 ton electric Injection Molding machine
• DSM micro-compounder
• Alevi 3D Bioplotter

Rheometers/Microscopy

• Reologica Controlled Stress Rheometer, equipped with parallel plate, cone and plate and bob and cup fixtures.
• Anton Paar MCR 301 Rheometer equipped with parallel plate, DMA, electrorheology and SER fixtures
• Rosand Dual Bore Capillary Rheometer
• Linkam hot-stage/optical microscope setup with shearing capability

Testing facilities available in the Materials Characterization Lab of the Department of Chemical Engineering, including GPC DSC, Advanced Polymer Analyzer, TGA, Mechanical Property Characterization, Dynamic Light Scattering.
