Queen’s Engineering hosted its annual homecoming Ritual event online the weekend of October 15-17. The ViRitual homecoming event brought alumni together from around the globe, and was attended by 137 alumni from eight different countries.
Co-hosts Kristy Tu, Sci’16, and Kasmet Niyongabo, Sc’11, MBA’20, brought their Queen’s spirit to the event and delivered an engaging and interactive experience. The event was broadcast live from Ingenuity Labs, and included interviews with students, thank-you videos for our generous donors, and a Kahoot game won by Queen’s Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic) Mark Green, Sc’87.
In addition to the ViRitual event, several milestone reunion classes held virtual Zoom reunions to reconnect with classmates. Nine virtual engineering reunions were held over the weekend, where classes gathered to reminisce and learn of updates at Queen’s from Dean Deluzio.
Queen’s Engineering reunion classes again this year were incredibly generous with class giving campaigns. The Class of 1991 created the Science 1991 Admission Award and raised over $100,000 in the span of one month to support first-year students.
