Post-graduate Studies in Hydrogeology of Fractured Rock

Graduate students at the Masters or PhD level are sought for participation in research conducted in any one of the following areas:

• Modeling of the development of bio-barriers in fracture networks
• Field tracer studies of solute transport in discrete fractures and fracture networks
• Diffusion of semi-volatile gasoline compounds through intact rock
• Model development and field application of new hydraulic testing methods for the characterization of fractured rock
• Geostatistical analysis of large hydraulic testing data sets

Financial support is available through teaching and research assistantships and potentially through internal departmental scholarships. Interested students should have an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Earth Sciences with a minimum B+ standing.
